Mr. Kirthi Rasaputra has A Charter in Textile Technology (CText.ATI.UK) with experience of over 35 years in the Sri Lankan textile industry. Was the Director of Textile Training & Services Centre and the Clothing Industry Training Institute. Was the project Coordinator of Clean Industry Development project (CLIND) of Asian Development Bank for the Ministry of Industries in 2001/2003 implemented by the International Resource Group (IRG) of USA.

Director of ADB pilot project to promote Cleaner Production in Industrial estates in Sri Lanka. Worked as Regional Director at National Cleaner Production Centre (NCPC) from 2005 to 2013.

Has experience in Textile Technology, Management, Training, Industrial engineering, Event Management, organizing of both local and international training programmes, experience in organizing the National Cleaner Production Awards programme for NCPC since its inception in 2007. Played a major role in coordinating the work of the Asia Pacific Roundtable for Sustainable Consumption and Production (APRSCP) in 2010 and in organizing two Sri Lankan Roundtables in 2007 and 2013 for NCPC.!". Has been a consultant for the preparation of National Chemical Profile, preparation of VAM report for the Third National Communication on Climate change, preparation of the National Action Plan for Plastics etc.
